The Hut
The Space

Only a couple of hundred yards from the 12th century moated Whittington Castle, this cosy hut is part of Gablecroft.
It accommodates two people in a secluded area of the property with views out over the green and village. The hut itself has a double bed, heating, space to dine and a porch to relax on summer evenings. There is a separate kitchen converted from a Rice horse trailer, which has a full gas hob, sink and storage for food.
There is also a private outside area with table, chairs and space to BBQ as well as a seperate shower block!

The Neighbourhood

There are two village gastropubs that accept dogs just a short stroll away offering a range of great food and drink. If you are feeling traditional you can always head over to the fish and chip shop!
There is also a village grocery shop/post office in which you can buy all the necessities.
The area is great for walkers, cyclists and you can even hire a canal day boat a few minutes drive away at maester marine!
The medieval towns of Chester and Shrewsbury are both within easy reach and have plenty of shopping and lovely architecture.

If you enjoy National Trust properties then head over to Chirk Castle, Powys Castle or Erddig Hall, not to mention Attingham park. More locally there is Old Oswestry Hillfort which is a large iron age earthworks.
