The West Wing
The Space

Only a couple of hundred yards from the 12th century Whittington Castle, this is a completely private wing attached to the main house.

The West Wing has been recently renovated with high end interior designer finishes. The downstairs consists of an entrance hall, sauna room with separate shower, downstairs WC. Come off the entrance hall and you find yourself in a spacious living/dining room with knoll sofa, French doors opening onto a porch which overlooks the garden, and a wood burning stove to curl up in front of.
Head upstairs and you find a luxury double bedroom with tented fabric ceiling leading to a brand new en-suite, fitted with a good sized shower. As well as this there is a brand new contemporary kitchen where you can whip up a romantic meal, or just grab some wine glasses!

The property has off road parking, a large garden, a private courtyard, and fresh eggs, when available.
The Neighbourhood

The West Wing is situated in the charming village of Whittington, 2 miles east of Oswestry.
It is just 5 minutes from the Orthopaedic hospital, 20 minutes from Shrewsbury, and 35 minutes from Chester.
The village itself has all you need including a local shop with postal services and two great gastro pubs: Ye Olde Boote Inn and The White Lion.

When approaching Oswestry stay on the A483 or A5 and do not turn for Oswestry Town. Take the A495 signposted for Ellesmere off the Oswestry bypass and continue into Whittington over the railway level crossing. At the T-junction turn left staying on the A495. The property, Gablecroft, is on the left a few hundred yards past the castle.
